Your Alp Adventure is looking for a service economist intern

At Hotel Le Refuge and Hotel le Chamois, we are looking for an intern who has a high commitment and desire to create good guest experiences at our hotels and chalets in France.
During the internship, you will be part of the team at Hotel Refuge and Hotel Chamois in Alpe d'Huez, which are run by a Danish family and a team of seasonal staff.
As an intern with us, you get a lot of exciting experiences and challenges that make your internship period interesting and give you the opportunity to design your internship assignment in many different directions.
We expect from you:
- That you are committed, easy to learn, stable at meetings and service-oriented
- That you have the courage to move abroad during your internship, get new challenges and live with other young people
- That you are full of energy, are a team player and are ready for challenges
- That you can work independently and in a structured manner
For background, we want:
- You are a student as a service economist either on the Danish or international track
- You are good at languages; at least Danish and English, but preferably Scandinavian languages and French
- You have knowledge of the Microsoft Office package and feel strong in both Word and Excel
- You are not intimidated by budgets, finances or numbers
- We would like you to be familiar with the use of social media, Canva, Facebook plans and WordPress - it is not a requirement, but a plus
- You have experience in the service industry. Preferably as a waiter, bartender, or other restaurant experience
Your tasks will consist of:
- Handling guest enquiries, including bookings from our platforms; FreeToBook, Booking.com, Airbnb and own system
- Evaluation and optimization of guest experiences
- Handling administrative, financial and marketing tasks in collaboration with the management and our SoMe manager
- Participation in and organization of various events, as well as guiding our guests to local experiences
- Daily chores at the hotel including bar duty, preparation of the breakfast buffet, cleaning of rooms and washing up
- Servers for our diners. This applies both in the bar and plate servings
- Various ad-hoc tasks
We regularly hold interviews for our interns.
For summer interns, we prefer that your internship period starts in mid/end of June and lasts 12 weeks, as required by your degree
For winter internships, we prefer that you start when your Christmas break starts and last 12 weeks, as required by your education.
We can be helpful in arranging a bed in a shared seasonal room or single room.
