Welcome to Chalet Les Vieux Murs in Alpe d'Huez

Welcome to our latest shot at the tribe; Chalet les Vieux Murs in the French alpine town of Alpe d'Huez. A completely newly renovated Chalet with room for up to 8-10 people.

Chalet les Vieux Murs is located in the old town of Alpe d'Huez, just 50 meters from Hotel le Refuge. This historic property offers a welcoming atmosphere where you can relax after a lovely long ski day. What better way to end the day than to throw on your slippers, sit on the sofa and enjoy the relaxation in a true French Chalet style.

This traditional and charming Chalet is perfect for a group or two families looking for a well-located comfortable base from which to explore stunning L'Alpe d'Huez.
The chalet is divided into 4 floors. In the lower part, which we call 0, you will find rooms 1 and 2, which have an optional connecting door and are therefore ideal for families or friends. These two rooms have their own entrance from the garden and are therefore not connected to the living room and kitchen, which you will find on the 1st floor.
Entrance to the 1st floor you will find from the terrace, where you enter a delicious new kitchen and living room. From here there is a staircase to the 2nd floor, where you will find two double rooms with private shower and toilet. From the 2nd floor there is a narrow steep staircase up to the "ceiling" (3rd floor), where there are two beds and a sitting bath and toilet.
All in all, the Chalet can accommodate up to 10 people.

What do the guests say?

How do I get to L'Alpe-d'huez?

You can get here in many ways, depending on where you are traveling from. Our recommendation for a holiday in the Alps will always be to take the car. It may take longer, but with the car you are completely independent from others and you can have many exciting experiences around the mountain and down. If you don't want to drive all the way, the nearest airports are:
Grenoble Alpes Isère Airport - ca. 1.5 hours drive.
Lyon Airport - ca. 2.5 hours drive.
Geneva Airport - ca. 2.5 hours drive (Switzerland).
From here you can rent a car and drive yourself or book an airport transfer.
We can highly recommend Alpe Express as a transfer.
